“The length oil and gas pipeline increases from 40,000 km in 2000 to 100,000km.”The director of the Expert Consultation Committee of National Energy Commission said in recent days. The oil and gas pipeline has set up a new pattern stretching every place of China and connecting China to abroad.

 

    The International Pipeline Congress Forum was hold recently. Wan Guowei, the deputy director of China Oil and Gas Pipeline Bureau, said. The fast development of pipeline in China, especially in recent ten years, is beneficial for the improvement of China’s all-round strength and the continued perfection of China’s oil technology development system and cooperative development mechanism. It is expected during the "twelfth five-year plan" period,  the total investment of petroleum pipeline business will reach more than 460 billion Yuan in our country, and the length of new pipeline is 65,000 km in home and abroad, including crude oil pipeline 8,000 km,  product oil pipeline 16,000 km, and gas pipeline 41,000 km. 

 

    Zhao Yujian, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau director, said that construction technology in the pipeline industry is moving toward a larger diameter, higher pressure, higher grade of steel, more media and more intelligent direction development, and it puts forward new requirements to technology, construction standard, equipment level, operation pattern and so on. All of these has brought new challenges.
