On February 11th, CPP shielded tunnel has reached 300 meters for second China-Russia Oil Pipeline, which speed up the engineering construction.
In order to construct second China-Russia Oil Pipeline, the workers gave up their Chinese new year holidays willingly, so the shield can move quickly with over ten meters every day.
Emuer River Shield Tunnel Project is one of the controlling engineering for second China-Russia Oil
Pipeline, it is located in deep Great Khingan Range, Xing'an Town, Mohe County, Heilongjiang Province, which is called north pole in China. This project is the first shield tunnel in a high and cold area of 53 degrees north latitude, which is regarded as the first shield tunnel in China. The construction workers accomplished shaft-construction in the harsh condition of minus 30 degrees Celsius, and the launching of shield tunnel at minus 41 degrees Celsius, which accumulates valuable experience in high and cold area for domestic shield tunnel industry and technologies.
The shield tunnel is 850 meters with a diameter of 3.08m, mainly passed through crushed layer, mudstone, strong weathered sandstone. And CPP M1250 shield machine is responsible for it.
The second oil pipeline will further improve the safety and reliability of China's crude oil supplies and make up for old oil fields like Daqing, Liaohe, which promotes old industrial bases in northeast area and the steady development of national economy.
